For a nice quiet break with your dog the location and accommodation are ideal. The island is well maintained, and the castle and the Priory are both well worth a visit, walking is enjoyable with very little traffic in the village and the surrounding costal area is ideal for long or short walks. Good food is available at the numerous village cafes, the Crown and Anchor just around the corner from the cottage also serves good food and allows dogs into the bar and rear garden.

This cottage has everything you would want for a chilling holiday in a beautiful location. I would highly recommend this and have done so to friends.

The island being cut off by the tide twice a day gives a holiday on Lindisfarne a uniquely relaxing and spiritual feel.

Great for peace & tranquility. You can see why it was a religious retreat. Not a bad base for the Borders & area & Edinburgh can be reached within an hour & a bit.
